Who is responsible

This website is run by Riccardo Botta (Videovitae), Metzergasse 26, 9000 St. Gallen, Switzerland. For any question about your personal data you can write to videovitae.ch@gmail.com.

What data we collect

Contact form. When you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, your website (if you add it) and your message. We use these data only to reply to you and, if we work together, to manage our collaboration. The messages are stored on the website and forwarded to our email inbox.

Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data when you visit the site (for example IP address, browser type, date and time of the visit). These data are used only to keep the site secure and working and are deleted after a short time.

We do not use analytics or advertising tools and we do not sell or share your data with anyone for marketing purposes.

Videos from Vimeo and YouTube

The videos in our portfolio are embedded from Vimeo and YouTube. When a page with a video loads, or when you play it, these services may receive data such as your IP address and set cookies in your browser, according to their own privacy policies: Vimeo and Google/YouTube.

Fonts. This website uses fonts provided by Google Fonts. To display them, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which may receive your IP address. More information in Google’s privacy policy.

Service providers

The website is hosted by Hostinger, with servers in the European Union. Emails from the contact form are delivered to a Google (Gmail) account. These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services; some of them may process data outside Switzerland and the EU, with the safeguards required by law.

How long we keep your data

We keep contact messages as long as needed to answer you and to follow up on any collaboration, and no longer than two years after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to their use, and to receive a copy of them. Just write to videovitae.ch@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country (in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner).

Cookies

Our website itself only uses technical cookies needed for it to work. Third-party cookies may be set by Vimeo and YouTube when you watch the embedded videos, as explained above.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
